And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Revelation 9:11

September has arrived again. A month I look forward to because I’m an NFL fan, but also a month that brings with it the anniversary of 9/11.  I lost a close family member on that day, and no matter how many years pile up between then and now, I find myself reliving those feelings and memories. I’ve been told a few times to forget 9/11 and put it behind me, but to me that’s akin to forcing yourself to forget a murdered family member, and many other Americans. The perpetrators have escaped justice, and they are still on the loose fulfilling their agenda.

Ebola, Sarah Menet, and prophecy.

I had a little bird,Its name was Enza.
I opened the window, and in-flu-enza.

I’ve attempted to follow the Ebola news, and offer something novel here on the monkey page, but there are too many rumors, and not enough truth.  We now know Thomas Eric Duncan died from Ebola on Wednesday.  We also know that Teresa Romero Ramos from Spain is the first person outside of Africa to contract the virus, and she was left to sit in the ER for hours even after she tested positive.

I thought I would turn my attention to the most enigmatic of years, heralded by new agers, brought to us by the Mayans, and regurgitated by Hollywood and the media. As the title indicates, we’re talking about 2012.

The two most popular doom scenarios for 2012 involve the Sun going crazy, or an unknown (or known depending on the conspiracy) rogue planet (Nibiru, Planet X) lurking on the edge of our milky way galaxy. The rogue planet supposedly will have a near miss with the Earth, resulting in a displacement of the Earth’s crust (aka pole shift). In the Sun doom scenario, we are blasted by an X class CME (coronal mass ejection) that causes the Earth’s crust to shift, resulting in the largest shake, rattle and roll the world has ever experienced, loss of all electricity, and a Fukushima Daiichi for every nation.

These two scenarios are not the only doom gifts 2012 has to offer, there are plenty if you go looking. I personally don’t fear any of the scenarios, nor do I expect anything of the sort to actually happen. If the evidence begins to present itself, than I’ll consider it at that time.

So we’re beginning the six month of 2012, and for the most part society is rolling along it’s familiar well worn groove. We’ve so far had our share of riots, economic crisis, psychopaths, war, murder, disease and so forth, but nothing so far has jumped out of the news to proclaim 2012 any different from 2011. I sure hope it stays this way, and we humans can create something positive collectively. I’ve definitely seen an opening of the mind, and a changing of the attitude in the small part of the population I interact with. The change is subtle, but it’s definitely there. Maybe positive things are around the corner, and we can leave the dark doom behind. I believe most people want to be left alone, to explore and to enjoy their time on this planet. It’s always those that live in fear, and seek power that eventually ruin the game for everyone.

Humans are humans so I won’t hold my breath.

There are extreme variables out there on the dark road of the future. I unfortunately can see them coalesce into a perfect storm, that will have the end of 2012 live up to it’s name.

Let’s hope not.

Let’s try and shift our programmed minds to see the world in a different way, and know that we can change our reality at any moment if we truly desire.

It’s your choice.
