On the eve of the 14th anniversary of 9/11 a rainbow appeared over NYC which to many observers began or ended at Ground Zero or the One World Trade tower. The following day on 9/11 a lightning strike sent a Bin Laden company crane crashing through the roof of the Masjid al-Haram the most of holy of Islamic Mosques in Mecca.
The irony is thick; I stand back in amazement.

I considered writing a blog post about Dylann Storm Roof in the vein of the New York Times, but in bizarro world. I thought better of it, because it would probably be taken the wrong way and misunderstood. I would paint Dylann in sympathetic light, and talk about his battle with drugs, and his bad family life. I would suggest that he was just a misunderstood boy. I would pull the focus away from the people he shot in the church, and put the focus on the demons he battled. I would be sure not to bring up the race issue. I would also be sure to use a photo of Dylann when he was young and happy to create further sympathy.

The boys in black, the demons of the Middle East have decided to increase their evil by decapitating women. I suppose drowning captives in a pool, blowing them up in a car with an RPG, or blowing off their heads with explosives like the explosive collar in the Running Man wasn’t enough to satisfy their perverted desires.

I’m sure by now you’ve heard about the Greek bank holiday which went into effect today June 29, 2015. Greek citizens are only allowed to withdraw 60 Euros a day, and capital controls have been enforced. The Dow J fell -350.33 points today, but I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the Dow made the loss back in a month. The S&P was down -43.85, and the NASDAQ was down -122.04. In other negative market related news; Chinese stocks have taken a hit in the past few days, and are in the midst of a bear market, and Puerto Rico has just informed the U.S. they are calling for bankruptcy.

I’ll let the video speak for itself, but there are many layers of meaning and consequence in what it presents.
It’s clear the American adventure in Iraq has been a complete failure. The result has been an increased Iranian presence, and an expanding religious war between Sunni and Shiah. Love him or hate him; Saddam Hussein kept these two halves of Islam at bay. The mess which has engulfed Iraq will duplicate itself in Syria once Bashar al-Assad falls to ISIS in Damascus.
